In a group class your child shares the coach. In a private lesson they get the whole hour.
Swimmers learn fastest when the coach watches every stroke and corrects it on the spot. That only happens one-on-one.
Rehan teaches every age, from six-month-old babies to adults who never learned.
Each program has its own goals, and every lesson inside it is adjusted to the swimmer in front of him.
You can watch how Rehan runs a real lesson before you book.
These clips and photos come from his own lessons. Nothing here is staged or stock.
You can start lessons with Rehan in three steps.

He works through the waitlist in order. When a time that suits you opens up, he gets in touch, confirms your pool and the full price, and plans the first lesson.

Start with the first lesson
The first hour sets the swimmer's level, and every lesson after it builds on that plan.

Rehan Ahmad teaches every lesson himself, so your swimmer always has the same coach.
Rehan raced for two year-round clubs in Virginia, Occoquan Swimming and the Potomac Marlins. He coached beginners with the Ashland Stingrays, taught lessons with the Kingsbrooke Sea Lions and trained as a lifeguard in CPR, first aid and water rescue.
Now he teaches in Dubai, one swimmer at a time. Every student gets his full attention and moves at their own pace, and safety, fun and real skills are the base of every lesson he runs.
Meet Your CoachParents and adult learners say Rehan's lessons work.

“Only 9 lessons & look at this girl! Best thing that's happened this summer! Rehan is seriously the best with all the kids.”
“My daughter was terrified of the water before starting lessons with Rehan. After just a few sessions, she was jumping in on her own! His patience and gentle approach made all the difference.”
“I never learned to swim as a kid and was embarrassed to take lessons as an adult. Rehan made me feel completely comfortable and I can now swim laps confidently. Life-changing!”
“The 1-on-1 attention is incredible. You can really see how Rehan customizes each lesson to match my son's energy and learning style. We look forward to every lesson!”
“Both my kids have made amazing progress. Rehan's teaching style is fun, safe, and effective. He genuinely cares about every student's development.”
“Rehan helped me overcome a lifelong fear of deep water. His calm, encouraging approach and professional instruction gave me confidence I never thought I'd have.”
“The flexible scheduling is a huge plus for busy families like ours. Our son went from needing arm floaties to doing freestyle across the pool in just two months!”
A private lesson costs AED 200, and lesson packs bring the hourly price down.
There are no contracts and no sign-up fees. Every price includes any equipment the lesson needs, and Rehan confirms travel or pool charges before you book. His schedule is currently full, so new swimmers join the waitlist first.

Parents usually ask Rehan these questions before the first lesson.
Where do the lessons take place?
Anywhere in Dubai that has a pool. Rehan comes to your villa, your building, your community or your club, and he can teach at any other pool you have access to.
What if I don't have a pool?
Rehan can arrange a pool for you. The hire or entry cost of that pool is added to the lesson price, and he tells you the amount before you book.
Are there extra charges for travel?
Yes. The lesson price covers the coaching, and travel to your location is charged on top depending on the distance. Give Rehan your area on the waitlist form and he confirms the full price before you book, so nothing is added afterwards.
How long is each lesson?
Every lesson is a full hour of one-on-one coaching.
What ages does Rehan teach?
Rehan teaches swimmers from six months old to adults. Babies and toddlers swim with a parent in the water.
Do I need to bring equipment?
No. The price includes any equipment the lesson needs. Bring swimwear and a towel.
Is there a contract or a sign-up fee?
No. There is no contract and no sign-up fee. You pay for a single lesson or a pack, plus any travel or pool charge Rehan has confirmed with you.
Can Rehan teach siblings or a small group?
Yes. Lessons are private by default, so mention siblings or a small group on the waitlist form and Rehan will quote for it when he gets in touch.
How much do swimming lessons cost in Dubai?
With Rehan, a single one-hour private lesson in Dubai is AED 200. A four-lesson pack is AED 600, which is AED 150 per lesson, and an eight-lesson pack is AED 1,000, which is AED 125 per lesson. Travel and any pool he arranges are charged on top at cost and confirmed before you book.
What age can a child start swimming lessons?
Rehan teaches from six months old, with a parent in the water for babies and toddlers. The American Academy of Pediatrics notes that lessons can begin for many children from age one and that by age four most children are ready to learn to swim properly.
Can an adult who never learned take lessons?
Yes. Adults are a large part of who Rehan teaches in Dubai, including complete beginners and people who are frightened of water. Lessons are one-on-one at your own pool, so there is no class watching and no minimum standard to join.
How many lessons does it take to learn to swim?
Most complete beginners need a continuous block of roughly eight to twenty one-hour private lessons to swim independently, and basic water safety comes sooner than that. Weekly consistency matters far more than the total booked, because long gaps cost confidence rather than technique.
Does Rehan teach in the evenings and at weekends?
Yes. Lessons run evenings and weekends as well as during the day, because he travels to you rather than running fixed class times. You tell him the days and times that suit you on the waitlist form, and he confirms a slot when one opens.
What qualifications does Rehan have?
Rehan swam year-round with Occoquan Swimming and in the Senior Gold group at the Potomac Marlins, taught learn-to-swim with the Kingsbrooke Sea Lions, coached the youngest swimmers at the Ashland Stingrays, and completed lifeguard training with Prince William County Parks and Recreation in CPR, first aid, AED use and water rescue. His race times are public on SwimCloud.
How do I book a lesson with Rehan?
Rehan's schedule is currently fully booked, so new lessons are not being scheduled right now. When a slot opens he contacts you, confirms the full price and plans the first lesson. Keep checking the website for future availability.
